Woodlands Style House

About Us

We have a shared passion for design & styling spaces. Design for ANY space, in ANY style. We believe strongly that style is very personal, which is why you'll see a wide range of different design-styles and projects both big and small in our portfolio. Through redecorating, renovating, organizing, and event-styling - we are committed to 'bringing style home' to our amazing clients.

Sondra Lagasse

Hi! I was born and raised in Austin, TX and have lived in several cities across this great state, but now am proud to reside in The Woodlands. I married my college-love Chris and we have two gorgeous girls. I taught elementary education for 6 years and realized that my favorite part of the job (although I loved my students) was creating an organized and inviting classroom.

I have also always loved helping friends and family decorate and style different spaces. From thrifting to splurging, I love finding amazing pieces to incorporate into a home and to help bring together a cohesive design. After purchasing, remodeling, staging, and selling three houses, I confirmed that my true passion was in designing and transforming spaces. I feel so lucky to get to do it full-time now.

When I'm not styling homes, I love to spend time with my family and friends, be active outdoors, try new restaurants, volunteer in the community, and watch HGTV! I can't wait to share my passion and talents for home styling with you!

Jill Simms

Hi - I'm Jill! I'm originally from Dallas, TX, but am SO proud to now call The Woodlands home. I live here with my college sweetheart, our 2 young girls, and 1 very large white-lab named River. A few things that make me happy are football, food, anything outdoors and taking WAY too many pics of my girls as they grow. I have a degree and background in Advertising/Marketing and have always loved the way an artful layout can make all the difference. I also have a Master’s in Education after deciding to move on from the fast-pace of life in an Ad Firm and teach instead. I adored teaching, working with kids, (and of course getting to organize and be creative for a living).

But with a number of moves over the past few years for my husband’s job, I found a new passion I never knew I had: all things home-design. There was a time where we actually had bought, sold, and moved so many times that we realized we had lived in 4 different homes in the span of 2 ½ years. Although not something I’d recommend if you want to stay sane :), I did learn very quickly how to set up a house, restyle it using whatever I had on hand, and prepare to sell it again in a very short timeframe. Each time we sold, we were able to do it very quickly and with multiple over-list offers. I firmly believe this was due to our staging, styling, and sweat equity that it takes to turn a house into a well-designed home.

I will always love passing along all that I learned from that crazy stage in our life and helping others turn their space into a something they truly love.

Megan Bobos

Hi! I’m Megan! I am originally from St. Louis, MO, but have been in The Woodlands for 10 years and proudly call it home! I married my college sweetheart and we have three young kids, Ella, Jude, and Sawyer. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, taking way too many pictures of my kiddos, reading the latest book on Reese’s Book Club list, and watching Bravo or HGTV. I have a degree and background in Elementary Education and have taught for many years in both public and private schools in the area.

My love for all things home design, detail, and organization actually began as a young child. I remember styling and re-styling my bookshelves over and over again, constantly wanting to redecorate my room, and always changing out wall colors to match the trends at the time. Naturally, throughout my first career as a teacher, I always jumped at the chance to design and decorate a classroom, complete with a new theme and a fresh set of supplies.

I have also always loved decorating my own home, but it wasn't until I designed a full addition for our second house, that I realized I'd like to turn it into a career. I love working with people and creating functional, friendly, and beautiful spaces. I’m SO excited to help you realize your vision for your home!

Stephanie Collier

Hi! I am Stephanie! I was born and raised in the Spring/Woodlands area. Growing up in a construction family and going to job sites with my father beginning at the young age of 6 years only cultivated a love of all things construction, design, and decor. I married my college sweetheart after we met at Texas A&M University. WHOOP! We have 4 amazing, spunky, and creative children that keep our life full of joy and fun!

After 14 years in the education field as both a teacher and
school counselor, I am now pursuing my love of design and styling. One of my passions, or shall I say obsessions, is shopping for bargains and unique finds. I have always found that I am never comfortable in a place or room, unless I have everything sorted, organized, and styled. Whether it was my home, office, or classroom - my room always had to be complete. Often friends and family would ask me for advice in decorating their homes and spaces. It is easy to do when it is something you love!

Working with clients will be a dream come true for me and one that I am beyond excited about! Thank you for welcoming me into your space - I am thrilled to begin 'bringing style home' as part of this team.

Jenny Sangolt

Hello! I’m Jenny - Canadian born and raised, with roots that span the globe. I’ve lived in Vietnam and the UK, and have traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia and Europe. In fact, it was on a trip to London that I met my husband (who is actually not British, but Norwegian!) However since 2013, we’ve been happily settled in The Woodlands with our two boys. When I’m not sitting on the sidelines at soccer or Tae Kwon Do, I enjoy cooking, reading, and blogging (about home décor - go figure - www.expatriatebydesign.com).

In a previous life, I completed a Master of Science, and worked in various capacities related to research, international development, and advising. During the six year break I took after having our boys, I realized that my passion was in home décor and styling. I can easily lose myself wandering the aisles of home décor shops/sites, searching through design magazines, and populating my Pinterest account. I feel so fortunate to have reached the point where I can turn my passion into a profession!

Leigh Harkness

Hi! I'm Leigh! I was born and raised in the North Shore suburbs of Chicago (go Cubs!). However, when I was in 8th grade, my dad's job moved our family to Denver, Colorado. After attending high school I went on to receive my Marketing degree from the University of Denver. I shortly met my husband upon graduating (a Colorado Buff alumni) and we have been married over 7 years now. During that time, we have moved a lot for my husband's job - between Dallas, back to Denver - and now we reside in the Montgomery/Woodlands area! We have lived here for two years and count our blessings everyday that we are once again back in the heart of Texas! We have two young children, Henry & Kennedy, and a dog named Frank.

I have always had a passion for decorating, bargain shopping & I am in love with anything and everything being organized! Through each of our moves, I really started to gain more knowledge of design, styling and renovations. As a stay at home mom these past few years, home projects have provided a side hobby and an outlet to express my design creativity. About a year ago, I started to share these projects and our home on social media through Instagram (@harknesshomestylist) - and I am even more happy that I did, because it gave me the opportunity & dream come true, to start working with Woodlands Style House!

I am so grateful to be able to help others make their house a home. I truly believe you don't need a vacation (or as many!) when you love where you live. I can't wait to work with you and make you fall in love with your home all over again!

Leah Ford

Hi! I’m Leah! I was born and raised in The Woodlands and am so blessed to reside here with my entire family.  I married my best friend, Duncan, and we have one cute 3 year old boy. We are a house divided - I am a Texas A&M alumni and my husband graduated from The University of Texas.  For the last 15 years I have designed and executed corporate window displays for Kate Spade, Anthropologie & Billy Reid. These displays have included my personal creations such as large paper magnolia flowers, hand-dyed fabrics, an oversized handmade birdcage, and even a 20 foot long display of a flock of paper birds. When creating a stunning visual, I believe it’s truly all in the details.

In addition to styling vignettes & displays, I also have a passion for styling events. One part of my background that has led me in that direction is my experience in floral arrangements. I am a member of the Texas Native Plant Society and served as President for two years of the local Garden Club. I have worked with Master-Gardeners and currently use my formal training to create regular centerpieces for several local businesses around town. I truly love what the perfect floral arrangement can bring to any space or event.

My other event background includes working with several different organizations to help plan and decorate their annual galas. From making guests feel warm and welcome, to sourcing and styling the decor, I love working on every detail. I feel there is an art to a well-planned event and creating the party’s own unique style really makes all the difference. Whether it’s taking care of all the planning beforehand, coordinating things during your event, or simply styling the space, I would LOVE to help you throw the best party!

"Jill & Sondra are very easy to work with! They take the time to learn your style, help create a vision for the space they are restyling and even do the shopping for you. They stay conscious of your budget, which is helpful especially if you have multiple rooms to be done. I have used them for several projects and have been very pleased with the results."

"Sondra and Jill are a fantastic team and were a joy to work with! They were efficient and creative and their design for my home was EXACTLY what I had envisioned! They were dedicated to finding accessories and furniture that fit my budget, and they executed it perfectly & in a timely manner. It was wonderful to sit back and have someone else measure, shop, style, and install all the decor, without lifting a finger. If we had ideas, we communicated quickly with photos and texts. They are great listeners and made the whole process super fun! I am looking forward to having them back in the Spring to do another room. I highly recommend Woodlands Style House!"

Fantastic from start to finish, Easy to work with and quality work....you will not find better!

Woodlands Style House designed our daughter's nursery, and we could not be more thrilled with how it came out. They really helped us achieve our "dream nursery". The room is beautiful, functional, and best of all- she saved us hundreds of dollars by searching for the very best deal for each piece! The process was so easy too- I felt listened to by the team, and was given options every step of the way. This is our favorite room in the house and I could not recommend them more! Thank you for creating such a special, gorgeous living space for our little girl!

I would definitely recommend Woodlands Style House! Sondra and Jill are great to work with and have so much creativity! They made the process of giving our house a much needed update fast, simple and great! We are in LOVE with our house and all the rooms they styled!
